First Date

Last night, Dave and I had our first date since Vivienne came home. That is... if you don't count the trip to Menards and the grocery store when my parents were still in town and watched the Princess. I don't think that counted as a date night. But last night does count as our first date since becoming parents!

We went to see the movie The Help ... which was amazing BTW! Then to dinner at our favorite Mongolian Barbecue restaurant. Oh yes and a quick stop at Target for formula and diaper cream. We seriously need to buy stock in Similac and Desitin!

Who babysat Vivienne, you may be asking yourself?! None other than her very first babysitter! Her BridgeCare Mom Deb! She was missing Vivienne and couldn't wait to see how big she had gotten. It was fun for us to spend time with Deb and her family also.

Deb: thank you so much for loving and caring for our sweet girl! You will always be so special to us!

Sweetie: I love you and thank you for a wonderful evening!

Special Moments with Vivienne's Birth Family

A couple months ago, we took Vivienne's birthmother "T." out to dinner for her birthday. Here are a couple photos of that night. I love these pictures and we're so happy that Vivienne will grow up knowing T. and how much she loves her. Obviously, these are the cropped versions of the photos to respect T.'s privacy.

Last month Dave, Vivienne, T. and I visited with Vivienne's birth-grandparents and great grandmother. We hadn't seen them since we were all at the hospital for Vivienne's birth. It was great catching up and for them to see how big the princess has grown! Her grandfather had planted rows of sunflowers along their driveway this year and they were amazing! See what I mean...

Poor Dave... when I saw how beautiful it looked, I said, "Hey, you should do that at our house next year!" I'll keep the pressure up all winter and we'll see what happens. ha ha!
